It is difficult for many sitting BJP MLAs to get tickets: Who can be on the list?
BJP is also preparing the list of candidates. Speaking before Vijay Sankalpa Yatra in Kalaburagi today, former CMA BS Yeddyurappa said, 'Four to six BJP MLAs will lose the party ticket in the state assembly elections'.
The first list of BJP candidates will be published soon. There is a pro-BJP atmosphere in the state. People are not joining the Prajadani Yatra of the Congress party. On the other hand, a lot of people are joining BJP's Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra. This proves that there is a pro-BJP atmosphere in the state, he said.
The recently held Tripura and Meghalaya elections have proved the power of the BJP. In addition to this, it has been confirmed once again that the Congress address has been lost.
The present four to six sitting MLAs will not get tickets. He clarified that most of the MLAs will get tickets.
Responding to a question regarding the chief ministerial candidate, he said, 'We have to get a clear majority first. After that, we will decide who will be the chief ministerial candidate in the party's legislative meeting,' Yeddyurappa said.
He expressed confidence that the party would retain power in the state by winning at least 140 seats, adding that the first list of candidates would be announced after discussions with top BJP leaders.
